Interesting Aqua

SW 6220

Interesting Aqua SW 6220 is a cool muted blue with green undertones and a noticeable gray cast that tempers its saturation. Its LRV of 41 places it in the mid-range, providing enough depth to register as a definite color while remaining relatively light. It works well in bathrooms, sunrooms, and bedrooms where a subdued coastal reference is appropriate.

The gray component prevents it from reading overly bright. It coordinates with Sherwin-Williams Alabaster, Sea Salt, Grizzle Gray, and Naval. Under warm incandescent lighting, the green undertone becomes slightly more prominent.

Interesting Aqua in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
