Hematite

4006-2C

Hematite is an almost-black blue-charcoal with a cool metal cast. It carries weight. Use it on interior doors, cabinetry, or a media wall where depth matters.

LRV 7 means it will absorb light and show dust on flat paint. A satin finish gives the color more movement. Pair with crisp white or pale concrete for contrast. Warm bulbs can soften the blue edge, but the color will stay dark.

Hematite in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
