Borrowed Light

No. 235

Borrowed Light is a pale blue with soft gray undertones that give it a translucent, airy quality on walls. With an LRV of 84.8, it reflects a high amount of light and reads close to white in bright rooms, with the blue becoming more apparent in lower light. It is commonly used on ceilings, in north-facing rooms, and in smaller spaces where brightness matters.

For a tonal cool palette, it works with Farrow & Ball's Blackened and Dimpse, and Skylight or Light Blue provide a slightly stronger blue step. Down Pipe or Hague Blue can anchor trim or adjacent walls for contrast.
