Alpine Blue

PPG1149-1

Alpine Blue is a very pale blue-white with a whisper of gray. The color works nicely on ceilings, baths, and small rooms that need a cooler lift. On walls, it may read almost white until placed beside cream or warm wood.

Use it with polished nickel or clean white trim. Warm bulbs can soften the blue, but they will not make it beige. The gray makes the blue cleaner.

Alpine Blue in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
