Sonic Plum

4002-10C

Sonic Plum is a deep violet with a smoky blue-red base. The dark violet base needs a small room or detailed millwork. At LRV 11, the color needs a controlled application, such as a powder room, cabinet, or dramatic door.

Daylight reveals more purple than night lighting does. Warm lamps deepen it toward wine. Pair with cream trim or aged brass for warmth. Use satin on millwork, because dark purples can mark easily.

Sonic Plum in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
