Amethyst Ice

8001-1G

Amethyst Ice is a deep violet purple with a cool blue base. It is not icy. LRV 10 makes it a dark, dramatic color for cabinetry, a powder room, or a single enveloping bedroom.

Use light trim and lamps at several heights if it covers every wall. Satin will show more depth than matte. Choose warm white trim and blackened bronze, or add pale stone to keep the purple from feeling theatrical.

Amethyst Ice in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
