Valspar

Soft Panther

8006-12F

Soft Panther is a near-black charcoal with a subtle plum-gray undertone. The very low LRV gives doors and cabinets a near-black read. LRV 7 makes it best for trim, interior doors, cabinetry, or a media room with planned lighting.

On flat walls, scuffs may show quickly. Satin gives the color more dimension on woodwork. Warm white walls and pale rugs help the undertone avoid collapsing into plain black.

Soft Panther in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
