Eclectic Purple

PPU17-20

Eclectic Purple is a deep charcoal violet, more smoky than sweet. The violet stays smoky. On walls, the muted purple note shows best beside cream trim or pale stone, not bright white.

It can handle a small library, powder room, or the back of built-ins when the space has layered lamps. In flat paint it may look chalky, so choose eggshell for walls and satin for millwork.

Eclectic Purple in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
