Sand Mountain

8003-21E

Valspar Sand Mountain is a deep golden brown, close to ocher leather. At this depth, the golden brown can make trim look brighter. Use it on exterior trim, lower cabinets, or a den wall where a warm earthy color makes sense.

Bright light brings out the yellow-orange base. In dim rooms, it settles into brown. Lean on cream, navy, or dark green in the room. Check it beside wood floors, since similar gold tones can blur together.

Sand Mountain in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
