Tallow

No. 203

Tallow is a warm off-white with a clear yellow undertone that separates it from cooler or purely neutral whites. With an LRV of 92.5, it reflects a high amount of light and can help brighten north-facing rooms where cooler whites tend to look flat or gray. It is suited for full-room application, ceilings, and trim where a slight warmth is wanted without obvious color.

White Tie and Slipper Satin sit in a similar tonal range for layered white schemes, and Cornforth White or Elephant Breath can anchor it as a deeper wall color in adjacent spaces.

Tallow in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
