Cracked Pepper

PPU18-01

Cracked Pepper is a deep charcoal gray from Behr with cool undertones that lean slightly blue, keeping the color grounded without reading as overtly cold. At an LRV of 31.6, it absorbs a substantial amount of light and reads noticeably dark on walls. This makes it well-suited for accent walls, exterior siding, and cabinetry where strong contrast is needed.

It coordinates well with Behr Swiss Coffee for sharp light-dark pairings, Seaside Villa for a softer transition, White Metal for a tonal cool gray scheme, Blueprint for analogous blue-gray layering, and Wheat Bread to introduce warmth.

Cracked Pepper in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
