Farrow & Ball

Coppice Blue

No. G9

Coppice Blue is a cool muted teal with grey undertones that soften its blue-green character. With an LRV of 37.1 it sits in the lower-mid range and will read as a medium-dark tone on walls, particularly under artificial light. It is well suited to bedrooms, bathrooms, or living rooms where a quieter saturated color is appropriate.

Ammonite and Borrowed Light from Farrow & Ball work as lighter companions to open up a scheme around it. For darker anchoring, Railings or Studio Green provide contrast, and Pale Powder offers a closely related but much lighter blue for ceilings or adjoining rooms.

Coppice Blue in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
