Ancona Blue

No. 9805

Ancona Blue is a light blue-green with a muted gray cast that can shift greener in warmer light. With an LRV of 72.3, it sits in a light-to-mid range and usually keeps spaces from feeling heavy even with broad coverage. It is commonly used in bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens where cooler colors help balance warm finishes.

For clean transitions, it works with Cornforth White and Borrowed Light, and it can be softened with Pigeon as a neighboring blue-gray. For stronger contrast, Hague Blue provides a deeper blue anchor.

Ancona Blue in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
