Benjamin Moore

Velvet Cloak

CSP-480

Velvet Cloak (Benjamin Moore) is a deep burgundy with distinct purple undertones that shift it away from a straightforward red. At an LRV of 4.72, it reflects very little light and reads as a near-dark neutral in low-lit conditions. The color carries enough warmth from its red base to avoid appearing cold, while the violet cast gives it noticeable complexity.

It coordinates well with Gray Owl, Simply White, Pale Oak, Green Smoke, and Hale Navy from the Benjamin Moore line, each of which provides enough tonal separation to keep the burgundy from visually dominating a scheme.
