Benjamin Moore

Java

2106-10

Java (LRV 8.72) is a very deep brown with warm red undertones that emerge under direct or warm-spectrum lighting. At this low reflectance, it absorbs nearly all ambient light and will read close to black in dimmer conditions, with the brown-red character becoming apparent mainly in well-lit settings. The red bias separates it from cooler espresso or charcoal browns.

It requires high-contrast trim partners such as Benjamin Moore's White Dove or Simply White, works in analogous range with Monroe Bisque and Lenox Tan, and pairs with Hale Navy for a dark, layered effect.
