Stormy Plum

P005

Stormy Plum is a deep brown with a muted red-plum undertone. It is more earthy than purple. The color can ground a powder room, den, or built-in cabinet wall when black feels too severe.

At LRV 16, it needs lighting and pale contrast. Warm lamps reveal the plum note. Pair with cream plaster or aged brass. Avoid pairing it with orange wood unless the sample still feels balanced.

Stormy Plum in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
