Valspar

Semi Sweet

4003-2C

Valspar Semi Sweet is a dark taupe-gray with a brown base. It is almost charcoal. Use it on cabinets, doors, stair rails, or a moody office where softness matters more than pure black.

The color will deepen in corners and under weak lighting. Use warm white, leather, or pale stone to echo the undertone. Avoid very cool gray walls nearby, which can make the brown undertone look muddy.

Semi Sweet in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
