Dried Lilacs

V075-6

Dried Lilacs is a deep smoky violet with a muted gray-brown base. The purple stays reserved. Choose it for a powder room, a paneled alcove, or the back of built-in shelves when black feels too hard.

It will absorb light, so plan on lamps instead of judging it from overhead cans alone. Creamy trim warms the edge; polished nickel makes the violet cleaner. Sample a large board, because tiny chips understate its depth.

Dried Lilacs in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
