Coal Tipple

8004-47F

Coal Tipple is a near-black charcoal blue with a faint violet cast. It is almost charcoal once applied. Use it for doors, shelving, a media room, or exterior shutters where the darkness has a purpose.

LRV 9 means one overhead fixture will not be enough on full walls. Add side lighting and pale contrast. The blue note shows best beside clean white or light oak, not beside muddy beige.

Coal Tipple in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
