Glidden

Nutmeg

PPG1068-6

Nutmeg is a warm brown with a clay-orange undertone. It has spice. The color brings an earthy feel to a den, mudroom bench, or lower cabinets.

Because it sits in the mid range, it can look richer across large surfaces than the chip suggests. Warm floors may blend with it, so add contrast through counters or trim. A creamy off-white will soften the edges.

Nutmeg in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
