Glidden

Gothic Gold

PPG1208-7

Gothic Gold has a deep ochre-gold body with a brown-orange base. It feels old-world in a dining room, study, or on built-ins with substantial hardware. This is a strong color.

Cream trim gives relief, and dark green textiles keep the yellow grounded. In low light, the brown side becomes more obvious, which can be handsome but may flatten in a tight hallway.

Gothic Gold in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
