Silken Moss

Silken Moss is a deep olive-brown with green undertones beneath a dominant warm brown base, at hex #816F4E and an LRV of 16.22. It absorbs considerable light, producing a low-key presence on walls that reads as an earthy dark neutral. The green component is secondary but emerges under natural daylight, adding complexity to what might otherwise register as a straightforward brown.

In artificial warm light, the brown dominates. Pair it with Benjamin Moore's White Dove for lightness, Simply White for trim, Saybrook Sage for green continuity, Soft Fern for analogous depth, and Hale Navy as a darker complement.
