Benjamin Moore

Perspective

CSP-5

Perspective® is a light gray that leans slightly cool, with faint blue and silvery undertones that can read more neutral in warm light. Its LRV of 60.22 keeps it noticeably light without looking like a bright white. It’s commonly used for walls in bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms where a quiet, low-contrast backdrop is needed.

Pair it with Benjamin Moore White Dove, Simply White, or Classic Gray for clean trim and adjacent rooms. For contrast, Kendall Charcoal or Hale Navy will sharpen the cool cast.

Perspective in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.

LRV measures how much light a color reflects, from 0 (black) to 100 (pure white). Below about 50 a color needs good lighting to avoid going flat, 60 and up helps brighten a room, and most whites sit above 80.
