Garden Loam

T598

Garden Loam is a nearly black brown with an earthy olive undertone. This much brown needs sheen or strong side light. A front door, stair rail, or fireplace surround can use it as a warmer alternative to black.

On walls, it can close in quickly without enough lighting. Satin or semi-gloss gives the depth more life on trim. Pair with limestone, cream plaster, or natural oak to keep the color from looking flat.

Garden Loam in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
