Sherwin Williams

Honorable Blue

SW 6811

Honorable Blue is a cool deep blue with a noticeable purple undertone that emerges under incandescent lighting. At an LRV of 6, it absorbs most ambient light and reads as a saturated, commanding tone suited to accent walls, studies, or formal dining rooms where lower light levels are acceptable. It coordinates well with Pure White (SW 7005) for trim contrast, and pairs naturally with Naval (SW 6244), Smoky Blue (SW 7604), and Alabaster (SW 7008).

Adding Uncertain Gray (SW 6234) nearby can ease the transition to lighter surfaces.

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
