Benjamin Moore

Majestic Violet

2068-10

Majestic Violet is a deep, saturated purple with a cool blue undertone running beneath its dominant violet base. With an LRV of 5.41, it reflects very little light and will read close to near-black in dim conditions, revealing its true purple character only under adequate illumination. The blue-gray shift in its shadows prevents it from feeling overly warm.

It benefits from pairing with White Dove or Gray Owl for contrast on trim, coordinates with Grape Juice or Black Raspberry in layered schemes, and can be offset with Seafoam Green or Icy Blue to introduce complementary tension.

Majestic Violet in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
