Japanese Koi

P210-7

Japanese Koi is a saturated orange with a terra-cotta red push. The color is lively. It can bring personality to a front door, powder bath, or painted bench, especially when surrounding walls stay neutral.

On large walls, it may dominate the room fast. Natural oak can make it warmer still. Use off-white and black iron for control, then sample at night because warm bulbs intensify the orange.

Japanese Koi in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
