Explorer Green

T616

Explorer Green is a deep gray-olive with a softened khaki base. The khaki-green base earns its keep on hardworking cabinetry. On mudroom cabinets, exterior trim, or a small office wall, it beats plain gray with earthy color.

It will look darker in shadow, so give it pale neighbors. Warm white walls or aged wood sit well beside it. But avoid muddy beige trim. That combination can flatten the green.

Explorer Green in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
