Cut Ruby

1009-4

Cut Ruby is a dark, saturated red with a cool berry edge. A slight sheen helps this near-wine red keep its edge in low light. At LRV 6, it belongs on accents, lacquered furniture, or a jewel-box powder room with strong lighting.

Full walls need simple trim. Polished nickel sharpens it, and aged brass makes it richer. Test Cut Ruby in the dullest corner, not the brightest spot.

Cut Ruby in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
