Purple Essence

PPG1176-4

Purple Essence is a light mauve-lavender with a creamy gray cast. The creamy gray keeps lavender refined. Purple Essence brings quiet personality to a guest room, dressing area, or powder bath.

On walls, Purple Essence reads cooler than a rose beige and softer than a true lavender. A gentle white keeps it comfortable. Brushed brass adds warmth. Avoid icy whites when flooring already faces north, because the violet side may become too cool.

Purple Essence in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
