Sultry Smoke

MQ1-33

Sultry Smoke is a medium charcoal-taupe with a faint mauve cast. It can ground a bedroom, office, or cabinet run without going full black. Ivory-painted trim and smoked glass for a subdued palette adds a firm note.

Under cool north light, the gray side dominates. Warm lamps reveal the brown-mauve undertone. Because it sits in the middle range, it needs contrast from trim, art, or hardware to avoid looking flat. The color is hushed.

Sultry Smoke in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
