Heather Plume

PPU17-13

Heather Plume is a smoky mauve-gray with a warm taupe base. The mauve-taupe base flatters bedrooms with linen or walnut. Consider it for a bedroom, vanity area, or reading nook where beige feels too plain.

The color stays muted, so it will not look like a bright purple. Cream trim and walnut suit it. Warm bulbs bring out the rose side. Cool daylight makes it more gray. Avoid strong yellow fabrics unless that tension is intentional.

Heather Plume in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
