Monarch Wing

2008-1A

Monarch Wing is a vivid orange with a golden base. This is not subtle. It can energize a front door, playroom accent, or small furniture piece when the surrounding colors stay quieter.

On full walls, it will dominate quickly. White trim makes it crisp, but cream makes it warmer. Dark green can balance the brightness. Test it in direct sun, where the orange may feel even stronger.

Monarch Wing in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
