Valspar

Barrel Aged

T580

Barrel Aged is warm taupe-brown, softened by muted gold. It feels aged rather than rustic. The color can settle a den, dining room, or entry with wood furniture and textured fabrics.

On cabinets, it reads richer than a standard beige. In low light, the brown side gains weight. Use cream trim or pale stone to lighten the palette. Black accents keep it from feeling too soft.

Barrel Aged in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
