Glidden

Starfish

PPG1069-3

Starfish is a warm peach-tan with a coral undertone. The coral undertone shows nicely against pale blue fabric. Try a guest bath, cottage bedroom, or exterior accent where beige needs more personality.

The comfortably light depth keeps it from feeling heavy, but the color can become quite warm near red brick or terracotta floors. Ground it with cream trim, pale blue textiles, or natural fiber rugs. Sample near any fixed tile.

Starfish in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.

LRV measures how much light a color reflects, from 0 (black) to 100 (pure white). Below about 50 a color needs good lighting to avoid going flat, 60 and up helps brighten a room, and most whites sit above 80.
