Split Pea Soup

For open rooms, Split Pea Soup is a yellow-green with an earthy, cooked-down softness. Its yellow-olive cast belongs on cabinetry more than formal walls. It can be charming on pantry cabinets, a back hall, or cottage trim when ordinary sage feels too gray.

Because it is comfortably light but colorful, large rooms may feel warmer than expected. Use cream, charcoal, or unpolished brass for contrast. Red-toned flooring will make the green seem stronger.
