Glidden

Black Magic

PPG1001-7

The effect is severe. Black Magic is a nearly neutral charcoal, low in undertone and very grounded. It works best where crisp edges matter, such as doors, railings, and modern cabinetry.

On broad walls, it will absorb light and show texture, so sample the sheen as carefully as the color. White oak, polished nickel, or warm white walls can keep the result sharp. Dust shows more on dark flat finishes.

Black Magic in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.
