Behr

Ultra Pure White

UPW

Ultra Pure White is Behr's highest-reflectance white, with an LRV of 97.4 and a slightly cool, near-neutral base. It delivers maximum brightness without shifting noticeably blue or yellow, and its color temperature of approximately 5300K places it close to natural daylight. This makes it a functional choice for ceilings, trim, and gallery-style walls where consistent brightness is needed.

It can serve as a clean counterpoint to deeper wall colors in the same space. It works alongside Behr Whisper White and Behr Weathered White for tonal variation, and contrasts well with Behr Very Navy, Behr Thundercloud, or Behr Toasty Gray.

Ultra Pure White in Different Light

Light temperature is measured in Kelvin: a warm 2700K bulb pulls colors toward yellow, while 5000K daylight reads cooler and truer. Check the color at the time of day you actually use the room.

LRV measures how much light a color reflects, from 0 (black) to 100 (pure white). Below about 50 a color needs good lighting to avoid going flat, 60 and up helps brighten a room, and most whites sit above 80.
