Nude Colors

Nude is warmer and more skin toned than greige, with peach, tan, beige, or soft brown undertones. It appears in bedrooms, plaster looks, upholstery, tile, cosmetics inspired palettes, and warm minimal rooms.

Using nude in your home

Nude colors work when they are tested against real skin toned finishes in the house: beige tile, oak, stone, carpet, and upholstery. Use them in bedrooms, dressing rooms, baths, or soft living rooms with cream trim, taupe, walnut, muted clay, or sage. North light can make pale nude shades look gray. South light brings out peach. The warning is closeness to flooring. Too little contrast can make walls look like unfinished drywall.

Frequently asked questions

Is Nude paint beige or pink?

Nude can be beige, peach, tan, or pink beige. The undertone matters more than the name.

Best Nude paint colors?

Sample Glidden Adorable (LRV 77.2), Sherwin-Williams Natural Tan (LRV 65), or Valspar Adirondack Path (LRV 41.34).

Does Nude look darker on walls?

Often yes. Peach and tan undertones become more obvious at full scale, especially under warm bulbs.
